Background

The Brand Manager will contribute to Avon HMO’s business growth by being a strategic partner in developing and implementing strategies to generate brand awareness, drive the desired brand associations, and create sustainable value for the business. The role will drive experiential, communication, and advertising programs that resonate with our audiences and drive our businesses toward the achievement of financial goals. This role requires a hands-on person who is ready to hit the ground running, bring new ideas to the table, and ready to take charge.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of multi-channel, integrated advertising and marketing strategies and programming plans. Plays a critical role in driving towards ‘one voice’ integration across Avon HMO’s key audiences including marketing channels and across geographical locations.
  • Responsible for agency management, program management, and budget management for the brand. Develops, manages, and tracks marketing budgets, timelines, and processes from kickoff to execution. Establishes and maintains processes to ensure effective and timely development and execution of programs within defined budget constraints.
  • Leads effort to track marketing performance, gather consumer insights, and analyze or evaluate program effectiveness and ROI on marketing and communications spend. Integrates findings into future marketing activities and initiatives.
  • Works closely with communications and digital internal and external resources, as well as PR, and Consumer Insights Analysts. Communicates marketing activities to other units, teams, and departments regularly to ensure integration and support for programs and initiatives. Ensures that established processes are communicated, understood, and followed by key stakeholders.
  • Provides marketing insight and direction for cross-functional teams throughout the company. Acts as a strategic marketing consultant to other functions within the company and works as part of a cross-functional team to deliver brand communication and promotion initiatives to the different key stakeholders.
  • Assists in building the Brand management discipline across the company. Leads initiatives to help determine future Brand marketing investment and helps build processes for educating the organization on the role of Brand management and marketing spend effectiveness. Presents marketing strategies and execution details to senior leadership, management, and other departments.
  • Manages relationships with internal and external creative teams, agencies, and vendors to develop integrated customer communications materials. Interacts daily with creative and media agency team members

Minimum Requirements

  • A university degree – BA or BS in an arts, languages, or social science-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of which at least three must have been in a Brand Manager or Assistant Brand Manager role in a consumer-focused industry.
  • Strong intellectual capability. Superior abstract reasoning and analytical skills. Creative thinker who finds innovative solutions to obstacles.
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Articulates concepts in a clear, structured, and succinct manner, adjusted for the audience.
  • Results-driven with a bias for action and commitment to excellence. Acts with a sense of urgency.
  • Extremely organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive, resilient, and open to candid feedback. Listens to and considers alternatives but makes clear decisions.
  • Must be able to lead multiple brand projects from concept to launch.
  • Develop a strategy to create and tailor marketing plans to meet specific KPIs and objectives.
